Comments

A trap that failed miserably.

There is a habitual squeezer (20%) on the BTN and with AA, I chose to cold call and try to trap the BTN.

Unfortunately, a fishy short stacker chose to limp with JJ and thus, reducing the possiblity that the BTN will squeeze.

At flop, I am actually willing to stack off the short stacker but not to a check raise full stacker.

Hence, I folded reluctantly, and correctly so

Postflop I think I played perfectly...
Just that if I had 3bet preflop, I would hv won $10+ instead of losing $3.5

My default play will be to 3 bet here. But as mentioned, I need to balance my play sometimes n this is a good opportunity for me to do so as there is a habitual squeezer behind me.

And I m confident of my ability to get away from trouble when I choose to play this way as shown in this hand.

Btw, if I 3bet preflop, the initial raiser would hv folded his 88 when the guy with JJ call or shove. any guys will are nt able to fold in this situation (if there is a 4bet or a cold call 3bet) are bad/losing players in 25nl n I would hv already noted that down before this hand n play my post flop based on these calling station tendencies
